Why This Tool Exists
Yacht ownership cost estimates online are either wildly inaccurate, based on decade-old data, or buried behind sales funnels for brokerage services. When I started researching what a 100-foot motor yacht actually costs to run annually, I couldn't find a single transparent, data-backed tool that broke down every line item.
So I built one. Yacht Cost Calculator aggregates current marina rate data from 20 major yachting destinations, cross-references crew salary surveys from maritime employment agencies, and models insurance premiums using actual actuarial ranges — not marketing-friendly approximations.
The calculator is free. There are no upsells, no required email signups, and no brokerage referrals. The only monetization is a small selection of Amazon affiliate links for yacht safety and navigation equipment, clearly disclosed on every relevant page.
